Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Rena Bitter will travel July 9-17 to Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne, Australia; Suva, Fiji; and Honolulu, Hawaii.

In Australia, Assistant Secretary Bitter will tour consular operations, engage with colleagues within the U.S. Embassy and Consulates, and meet with counterparts in the Australian government to discuss bilateral cooperation on crisis response. In Fiji, she will visit the U.S. Embassy in Suva and engage with staff responsible for consular services covering Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga, Tuvalu, and the French territories of French Polynesia, New Caledonia, and Wallis & Futuna. These engagements underscore our mission to facilitate the people-to-people ties underpinning our relationships with vital allies and partners abroad, as well as our commitment to upholding the safety and security of our citizens overseas.

While in Hawaii, Assistant Secretary Bitter will meet with the staff of the Honolulu Passport Agency, one of 29 facilities providing passport services to those with urgent travel needs.
